Attorney Cynthia Lane
Cynthia Lane graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 2010. Ms. Lane went on to graduate cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida in 2014. While in Miami completing her Juris Doctor degree, Ms. Lane was an editor on the International Human Rights law Review, served as a Research Assistant to Law Professors published in Nationwide law journals, was a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for children in dependency courts in the 17th Judicial Circuit and was invited to participate in the Stephen R. Booher American Inn of Court. Ms. Lane received distinguished accolades for receiving the highest scores in the classes of family law, constitutional law and administrative law.
Ms. Lane is an active member of the Central Florida legal community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Volusia Flagler Association of Women Lawyers, which spearheads social, educational and community events in Volusia and Flagler Counties. Ms. Lane is involved with the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, serving on the Board of Directors of Project Impact — a group of professionals that manages the Social Innovation Fund which provide local high school, college and vocational students grants to support projects designed to address community challenges. Ms. Lane has volunteered her time to serve the community with Habitat for Humanity, the House Next Door, Childhood Cancer Foundation and Mainstreet DeLand Association.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Lane is an associate attorney specializing in Family and Marital Law and a variety of child related matters including custody, paternity, adoptions, education, dependency, delinquency, disability and special needs and grandparents rights. Ms. Lane has handled hundreds of Juvenile Dependency cases as a former civil prosecutor for the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families and is able to use her experience and expertise to navigate this complex system with success. Ms. Lane has successfully litigated countless trials before the Circuit Court and is able to represent children, parents and other interested parties in matters involving children and families. Ms. Lane is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Volusia County Bar Association, Flagler Bar Association and Volusia Flagler Association of Women Lawyers.
